Day 1: Meet at the village of M’Hamid and depart for Erg Chegaga
Upon arriving on your own in M’Hamid, the host will greet you and let you know where you will leave your car the village. Then we will depart via the 4×4 through the big dunes to Erg Chegaga. After visiting the sand dunes of Erg Chegaga, we will overnight at the camp, enjoying dinner and campfire.
Day 2: Return to M’Hamid
After breakfast and a camel ride through the desert, we return to the village M’Hamid by car.
Accommodations for tours that include time in the desert can be customized to fill your needs. Upgrades can include a private ensuite bathroom, additional amenities including alcoholic beverages, and more luxurious appointments. Private camps for your group only can also be arranged. Please let us know what comforts you desire and we will chose the best desert accommodations to meet those needs.
Please note: if a long Camel trek and overnight stay in the camp is not for you, you can still enjoy the sunset in M’Hamid and Chegaga with a shorter camel trek or a walk and pass the night in the Bivac at the dune line.
