Description
This three day tour from Ouarzazate is complete with kasbahs, palm groves, camels and desert sunset and sunrise at Erg Chebbi. Join us to tour the Dades and Todra Gorges, in addition to the Boumalne Dades Valley. This is a three day tour you will never forget.
Day 1: Ouarzazate to Dades and Todra Gorges
Departing from Ouarzazate we will pass through the oasis of Skoura where we will stop to visit the Kasbah of Amridil. From here, our route takes us through Kela’a M’gouna, the Valley of the Roses, where we stop for refreshment. We drive off-road along the route of a thousand kasbahs to the Dades Gorges where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we will walk alongside the Boumalne Dades Valley before continuing to the Todra
Gorges to spend a night at a hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast, there is time to walk by the Tinghir Palm Grove before we leave for the dunes of Merzouga via the Ziz Valley, the oasis of Tafilalet. We will have lunch in Erfoud. This afternoon, we continue our trip to the dunes of Merzouga in time for an hour camel ride in the dunes of the Sahara. The sunset from the top of the Erg Chebbi dunes is spectacular. Afterwards we will dine and spend the night at a desert camp.
Day 3
Wake early to view the glorious sunrise over the dunes. Afterwards, we return to the hotel in Merzouga via camel to freshen up for our day. Once we have had breakfast, we drive from Merzouga to Ouarzazate passing through the villages of Rissani, Alnif, Tazzarine (appearing in the film ‘Babel’). We will stop in N’Qob for lunch. In the afternoon, we drive along the Draa valley following the ancient road of caravans. We will be in the midst of lush palm trees and ancient kasbahs, the most well-known one being Tamnougalte. Once we reach Agdez, we will drive once again on paved road until we reach Ouarzazate at the end of the day. Having crossed the the Anti-Atlas and the mountain pass of Tizi-n-Tinfifite(1660m).
