Description
Early morning pick up from your accommodations in Marrakech, departing toward the High Atlas mountains traveling through Tizi N´Tichka pass with stops to take in the panoramic views. On the way we will see many Berber villages built into the sides of the mountains. We continue to the south and take a small road to the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit the famous Kasbah, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. Many famous films have been shot there, including Gladiator , Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penélope Cruz.
You will enjoy some free time on your own in town for lunch and in the afternoon we continue on to Ouarzazate, where we’ll visit the The Atlas Studios. Very celebrated films have been made there by international movie producers such as: Asterix and Cleopatra, Star Wars, The Mummy, and Gladiator.
Time permitting we can also visit the Taourirt kasbah, one of ancient and most spectacular ksars in Morocco, known for its spectacular design.
We will return to your accommodations in Marrakech late in the day.
