Description
Ouzoud Falls are located at 170km from Marrakech in the mid Atlas Mountains. This trip is one of our most popular destinations as a day trip departing from Marrakech. After a 2.5-hour drive through rural villages and the scenic Atlas Mountains in a private vehicle (4×4 or minibus), you will discover the highest waterfall in Morocco. You may opt to go hiking over the falls or drive the local boats on the river. Admire the rainbow surrounding the waterfalls and interact with the monkeys living in the area. Enjoy local food in a traditional cascade restaurant. After a peaceful and relaxing afternoon, we return to Marrakech.
Your day trip from Marrakech to Ouzoud Falls starts with a three hour drive to the north of Marrakech, crossing the Tadla plains and hundreds of olive farms. On arrival in the village, you will start your hike down to the river while admiring the beautiful view of the 110m high cascades of Ouzoud with a permanent rainbow as a background. On the way, some local Barbary monkeys expecting some of your nuts will greet you along the way!
Local cafes are available next to the stream for a light lunch and relaxation before heading to the village.
